"An invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break.” Our red thread journey is complete now that Julia is home. Please enjoy reading about our family now that we are 5. Our adoption trip to China is archived in the November 2005/December 2005 sections.

Melissa & Wayne,
Thanks again for your daily post! Yes I LOVE the pictures, but also truly enjoy the narratives (Melissa your a GREAT writer). The descriptions of your travels are very interesting and it helps me understand what you're doing every day.
Little Julia does seem to know what she likes and doesn't like. Have you tried seafood with her yet? We caught a bunch of fish yesterday and plan to have a BIG fish fry when we come home. If she doesn't like fish Aunt Pam and Julia will have their own menu's.
Uncle Wendell will have to get out some paints with the kids when he comes home .... well, maybe that should wait until a summer visit (I just remembered Anna painting on our back porch - her hands turned out really nice). He loved the play-do pictures and said keep doing art with her! Got to love his deep thinking:-)
Is there anyone who can tell you what she is saying at bed-time? What if she wants a special blanket (coming from a bankie family that was my first thought) or a special stuffed animal/baby doll???? But your probable right that it's what she called her foster mom.
Well, less than a week to go before you head home. Be safe, have fun and enjoy your time with Julia. Love you lots!!
