The time has come for me to get a new camera. I love my old Sony DSC-something I don't remember because we got it RIGHT before we went to China. It's a simple point and shoot. I love being able to take video with it and I want that with my new camera. Sooo...here's my question...What is everyone using to take those great pictures of moving, wild, won't stay still kids? I don't care about colors or what looks cool, I just good quality pictures and video. :-) Any suggestions are welcome!

THis is the camera that I have (Janice has the same one) and we both love it. It has a great zoom, video, and has always taken great pictures. I think this is the older version as I got mine about 2 years ago, but still a great camera.

We bought a Canon Rebel XT... it was the old model of the Canon Rebel so we got it cheaper... but really the newer model isn't that much better... anyways... LOVE IT.
Well you know I'm all about my Canon Powershot S5IS, it is not a pocket camera but not a big honking DSLR. It has a pretty fast shutter speed and I love the photos I get. I will admit though some of my "great" shots take 100 bad ones before it to get or have been through a quick Photoshop fix.
It also does do videos.
I have a Cannon PowerShot SX100 IS. 8 mega pixels, great zoom, and has some kind of image stabilizer so I rarely have blurry shots, even when the kids are dancing, running, jumping... well- you know:) It has video and tons of stuff I have no idea how to use because I've never bothered to read the manual. That's just me. It was $225 at Walmart.com, but is close to $250 in the store. I really wanted an SLR, but not in the budget. I really love my camera though. And you know me, I take LOTS of pictures:)
By the way... just wanted to let you know that you are officially Caleb's FAVORITE Auntie:) I'm sure he'll be getting a tattoo for his 18th birthday. The shop we used for the lip won't do tattoos for minors even with the permission slip. So, he waits...
I left you an award on my blog, please pick it up and play along.
